Chat with Simulation

1. Click the simulation module on the assigned course page.

   

2. Click “Start New Simulation”.

   

   Some simulations include a Scenario Overview you can read before starting. In multi-stage simulations, later overview pages stay locked until you reach that stage.

3. After the simulation starts, the character will describe their problem. You can ask questions through the input box.

   

   In multi-stage simulations, a quiet Now bar above the chat shows where you are (for example Stage 2 of 4 · Assess the patient). If you still need to send more messages before moving on, you will see a hint such as Send 2 more messages before you can continue.

   

   Click the stage name to open Stage progress. It shows what you have finished, the goals for the current stage, and which later stages are still locked.

   

   When your teacher lets you choose when to continue, the next stage in Stage progress unlocks and shows Go to next stage. The same button also appears in the Now bar. On the last stage, the button may say Complete simulation. You can keep chatting in the current stage until you choose to move on.

   

   When your teacher uses AI to check stage goals, a character reply may include View assessment. Open it to see which goals you have met and what to work on next.

   

   When you finish a stage, a divider appears in the chat and the next stage unlocks. At the end, you may see a short congratulations summary. If grading is turned on, you may also see Complete & Grade now near the chat box.

4. Type / to open the action menu (e.g., check the angle depth). After you select an action, the system will return a predefined result.

   

   

5. If there is more than one character, type @ to specify the conversation target. The selected character will respond to your input.

   

   

6. Use the speaker button to turn text-to-speech audio on/off (if voice is enabled in the simulation). This only affects playback on your side.

   

7. Click the history button to view previous conversations in this simulation. Select a record from the panel to review past attempts.

8. Use restart to start a new simulation attempt with a fresh transcript.

   

9. (Optional) Toggle the 2D view button to show/hide the 2D scene panel. If you disable 2D mode, you can continue with a chat-focused view only.

   

   

10. (Optional) Some simulations include an Assistant (in a separate chat dialog). Use it for general guidance (e.g., “what should I do next?”) while keeping the main chat focused on the patient.
